Frankie's World Foundation

Located in Philadelphia, Frankie’s World Foundation is the area’s leading and only not-for-profit day care center for children with special healthcare needs. We welcome children ages birth through 12 who require skilled nursing care for various medical conditions.

DESCRIPTION:
Named for a special girl in Philadelphia who touched the lives of many, Frankie’s World Foundation is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health to care for medically and/or technologically-dependent children.

A typical day at our center includes medical assessments, weekly themed arts and crafts projects, free play/recreational time, meals, nap time and educational games and activities that promote gross and fine motor skill development as well as teach important life skills. The children participate in daily “Circle Time” where we read stories, sing songs and engage in age appropriate, educationally guided activities. Our large, open play area affords opportunities for our children at all developmental levels to socialize, learn new skills and grow. Nursing services include tracheostomy/ventilator care, g-tube feeding, medication monitoring and administration, seizure monitoring and management, wound care, apnea management and many other services too numerous to mention.

Because Frankie’s World Foundation is a licensed medical day care center, all fees are eligible for reimbursement through you or your child’s medical insurance. Our professional staff will work with your child’s doctor and insurance company to help your child qualify for services at no cost to you.
