Providence Life Services

Providence Life Services is a not-for-profit organization with a vision for enhancing life at any age. We manage retirement communities and nursing homes in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, and those communities are always happy for volunteers to help with a variety of projects. We also have a hospice service — Providence Hospice — and for that ministry we need volunteers who are particularly sensitive and compassionate. Providence Hospice volunteers receive extensive training, and there is a wide range of roles you can fill — some deal directly with hospice patients; others stay behind the scenes. Whatever your skills or personality, we can find a way for you to serve.

Although our corporate headquarters is located in Tinley Park, Illinois we also have a need for volunteers who live in the western suburbs. Two of our facilities are located in Elmhurst and Downers Grove. There are opportunities to offer a compassionate presence, or you may be asked to read, converse and possibly sit quietly with a patient and offer your support.
