Together Friends Organization (TFO) inspires under resourced elementary and middle school students to explore STEAM-Entrepreneurial careers through engaging, hands-on, skill-building, educational team-based projects in our summer and afterschool programs; TFO programming develops students’ math, science, and behavioral skills, as well as assists them in reaching proficiency in academic subjects and preparing them for careers. TFO has served 545 students and 450 families in Clayton County since launching in Georgia in June of 2019. TFO expanded to serve six elementary and middle schools in Clayton County in 2022. In 2019, 80% of TFO students achieved single or double digit increases in their math scores. 1 in 5 (20%) Clayton County residents live below the poverty line (US Census data, 2020). Georgia MAP Scores showed a drastic drop in reading and math scores. TFO plays a crucial role in making up for learning loss due Covid-19, poverty, and lack of access to technology. In May 2025 TFO was award by Atlanta Public School Board of Education - Approved Contract Vendor Award. Our intention is to expand our afterschool and summer service to several locations in 2026.
