GRACE ARMS CHILD CARE CENTRE

GRACE ARMS CHILD CARE CENTRE exists with the mission to transform lives of disadvantaged children, women and communities in Uganda through using acts of saving , educating and maintaining (SEM) them in built homes. The beginnings of our organization were rooted in projects such as medical care missions with Medical Africa International (MAI), assisting poor children in schools, finding homes for poverty-stricken widows, rural community development, and assisting families in extreme poverty.

WHAT WE DO

We provide life essentials such as food, clothing, uniforms, medical care to 54 orphans and vulnerable children in our orphanage home and more so education as the only means for pulling them out of poverty.

 OUR GOAL

Our goal is to see lives transformed through meeting basic needs for those living in extreme poverty in Uganda, and through sharing the freedom and hope found in Christ. The heart of our model for breaking cycle of poverty is educational sponsorship, evangelism, and maintaining lives in contrasted real homes.

 OUR MODEL

Grace Arms Childcare Projects’ model of caring for the whole child recognizes that, with educational sponsorship at the core of our work, children need other key factors to succeed: growing faith, community development, and a healthy body.

Our ministry provides hope to those without hope through using the acts of saving with compassion. We provide education to those who have had no opportunity for education, and we maintain children in built established homes and we provide health and nutrition to children living in poverty and extreme need.

THE HEART OF OUR MODEL

The heart of Grace Arms Childcare Centre Model has three hands: the hand of SAVING LIVES with acts of compassion is evangelism, the hand of EDUCATING LIVES in extreme poverty is educational sponsorship programs and the hand of breaking cycles of poverty is MAINTAINING LIVES in constructed stable homes. At Grace Arms Childcare-Project, we believe that for educational sponsorship to succeed, children need a stable home, a growing faith, a community that is developing a healthy body. We have seen our model play out in the lives we touch every day.

THE FOUNDER

Grace Arms Childcare Centre is registered and founded by Pastor Steven Karugaba Markson and is run by Ugandans, meaning you can meet needs without cultural barriers.

OUR EXISTING PROJECTS

- More than 178 children are currently receiving education in different schools.

- More than 54 children are kept at Grace Arms Childcare Centre(Orphanage home) in Uganda
