Teach For India is a nationwide movement that aims to bridge the educational gap in India by placing the country’s most promising college graduates and young professionals, from all academic majors and careers, in low-income schools to teach full-time for two years. In the short run, Teach For India will act as a source of dedicated, quality teachers who will help students achieve significant academic gains. In the long run, Teach For India believes that it will take a large movement of leaders from across sectors to create sustainable educational reform in the country.
