Trauma Resilience Understanding & Education (TRUE) Center

What we do: TRUE Center is a 501c3 that will provide trauma-focused, evidence-based care and prevention services for kids and families in the DC area. Clinical services will include child and family therapy, consultations, immigration related evaluations, and treatment to reduce or eliminate problematic sexual behaviors. These services will be provided regardless of ability to pay. TRUE Center will also provide informational presentations to the community and will provide trainings for mental health professionals and child serving systems.

Mission:

Increase access to trauma-focused, evidence-based care and prevention services for D.C.-area children and families. Our approach includes culturally competent mental health services, training and support for child-serving systems, and promoting public understanding of trauma and prevention.

Vision:

All children and families have equal access to trauma-informed care and trauma is understood, treated, and prevented.
