Misión
Sahaba Initiative, a 501(c)3, nurtures healthy families in the Inland Empire by collaborating for social change, promoting healing, and providing direct services. In 2018, Sahaba Initiative was recognized as the California Nonprofit of the Year. Sahaba Initiative’s philosophy is to empower and sustain families in the inner city with programs that address mental health issues, poverty, hunger while also focusing on creating a narrative and culture of service. We aspire to build a legacy for the future that’s rooted in supporting one another and bringing people together of all backgrounds to empower and serve the most vulnerable.
Acerca de
Sahaba Initiative’s impact over the past 12 years has been immense and has shifted the community’s outlook on how to build a community that’s rooted in service. We have also provided a framework that allows the Muslim and greater community to come together in serving vulnerable families.
We hope to continue the impact we are making by institutionalizing our approach for future generations. We want to continue to build a movement that is multi generational, multicultural and inclusive in our service. Not only do we want to build an institution that's focused on providing services but we want to build a culture that's authentic in its experience of the people at the grassroots level.
