Senior Nutrition Services Region IV, Inc.

Senior Nutrition Services has operated nutrition programs for seniors in Berrien, Van Buren and Cass Counties, since 1988. In 2012, we received the dba Meals on Wheels of SW Michigan (MOWSWM). The organization receives some state and federal funding, but also fundraise for every meal served.

Approximately 250 congregate meals to active seniors and 250 meals to frail, homebound seniors are served daily. MOWSWM provides the hot lunches served at all the senior centers in the three counties, for active seniors (60 +). We also provide Home Delivered Meals throughout Berrien and Van Buren counties for seniors (60+) who are homebound, not able to shop or cook for themselves. This program provides a hot noon meal delivered to the senior's home by 10 paid and 28 volunteer drivers. We prioritize very frail, older seniors on a low fixed income, minority clients or clients with social or handicapped needs.
