Sunny Hill Inc.

Sunnyhill is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that delivers life-changing services that transform communities. As one of the largest locally based health service providers in Jefferson County, St. Charles County, and Greater St. Louis Metro, we support individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities with a team of 400 staff members. We strive to fulfill our mission by providing various person-centered services, including family navigation, behavior supports, independent living assistance, life skills development, housing opportunities, and socialization. We illuminate pathways for our community through education, expert environment cultivation, and advocacy to help individuals succeed.

Our inclusive community values are deeply embedded in our history. In 1978, eighteen families started Sunnyhill to provide their children with disabilities with a suitable camp experience. Despite limited recreational options, they worked tirelessly to secure funding, housing, and activities for future generations with developmental disabilities under the guidance of Monsieur Behrmann. Without a national anchor funding source, Sunnyhill's operations rely entirely on our community's support, including in-kind contributions, fundraising, grants, and government subsidies.
