French-American Cultural Foundation

The French-American Cultural Foundation is seeking two part-time interns for the fall semester 2017 to work in its Washington, DC office.

The French-American Cultural Foundation is a non-profit organization that celebrates the ties that bind two great societies and peoples: France and the United States. 

Its mission is to facilitate and cultivate the exchange of ideas that link France and United States through events, programs, and activities designed to promote and enhance the shared character of the two cultures, rooted in the spirit of freedom, independence, creativity, and excellence. 

Under the direction of Chairman, Connie J. Milstein, noted philanthropist, patron of the arts, and social activist, the Foundation is expanding its activities in the areas of art, culture, science, business, and education. 

The intern selected will be expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week (at least three days per week). The position is unpaid. The intern will assist the Foundation in developing programming, events, and developing its social media and other communications and contacts. Candidates with strong knowledge of France, French culture, and who, if possible, speak French are welcome to send in their applications. Candidates with some graphic design and online social media experience are also encouraged to apply. The candidate will also assist Foundation staff in the creation and implementation of events.
