Five Boroughs Foundation of Photography

Five Boroughs Foundation of Photography believes in the advancement of a child’s voice and dreams and the power they have over changing and shaping our society. Photography is a powerful medium through which children can be creative and capture their world, their reality, express their views and share them with the rest of us.

Our mission is to introduce photography into the lives of children living in the five boroughs and allow them to build a greater understanding of themselves, their individual potential and their backyard, New York City. We achieve this by partnering with schools and sponsoring after school programs, where we hold short in-class sessions to go over a mix of practice and theory. We give cameras to the kids and take them out on local field trips to experiment with their imagination. We share their vision with you through our website and exhibitions.
