Mission: To ensure that everyone has access to affordable, nutritious food

Goals: Increase access to affordable and nutritious foods; Improve the health of children and adults through better nutrition; Support local farms and sustain the environment

What We Do:

We operate farmers' markets every week from June through November throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Food demonstrations, nutrition education, and health screenings are available at our markets.

We collaborate with public schools to promote healthy eating and provide nutrition education through a nationally recognized student-run fresh food market program.

We convene the Philadelphia Nutrition Education Network, a collaboration of agencies bringing nutrition education to communities and the comprehensive School Nutrition Policy Task Force, a group working to improve the food and nutrition education in Philadelphia schools.

We help farmers market their products to supermarkets and other institutions.

We educate policy makers at the local, state and federal levels about the food and nutritional needs of lower-income people, and advocate for public policies that sustain small family farmers.
