Furniture Friends

Furniture Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides donated furniture to people in need throughout Greater Portland. With ongoing support from the community, we are able to fulfill our mission of “Creating Homes. Rebuilding Lives.”

Furniture Friends partners with over 120 local social service providers, hospitals, faith-based organizations, municipalities, and schools to identify people in need who lack the financial resources to purchase furniture on their own. Among the clients we serve are people who have struggled with homelessness and/or substance abuse as well as those living with physical and mental disabilities. We also serve veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and many immigrants beginning their new lives.
