Alliance for Living, Inc.

Alliance for Livining, Inc. is Southeastern Connecticut's only AIDS Service Organization. Its mission is to assist individuals infected and affected with HIV/AIDS to achieve their highest potential. We accomplish this goal through a comprehensive program that provides medical case management, behavioral modification support, support groups, a food pantry, community meals, transportation to medical providers, medication adherence support, and scattered site housing. A merger of two organizations in 1998, Helping Our People Endure and Southeastern CT AIDS Project, formed Alliance for Living bringing senergies that allowd for greater services and resources to benefit the individuals Alliance serves.

Alliance's mission includes outreach to educate individuals of all walks of life that HIV/AIDS is 100% preventable. We do this through a program entitled, "Positively Speaking" where a Certified AIDS Educator and a courageous client present facts about the disease and how to avoid it and a true life experience of what it is like to live with the disease - the challenges, barriers and triumphs.
