Justice for the People Legal Center

Mission:  Justice for the People is a non-profit movement law firm that is dedicated to fighting for transformative justice, liberation and collective self-determination with and for people who currently and historically have endured violence, harm and trauma by the U.S. and other colonial justice systems. Our vision of transformative justice is to democratize, decolonize and liberate land, housing and wealth toward a solidarity economy. We conduct education and outreach to organize and build community alongside impact litigation and enforcement. All of our work is grounded in anti-oppressive grassroots organizing principles, strategies, and values.

Our Organization: JFP served as a legal program of 9to5 Colorado from 2018-2022. In September 2022 we received our 501c3 status and in July 2023, we branched out completely from 9to5. Our Executive Director/Co-Founder Dre Chiriboga-Flor is intentionally a non-attorney community organizer to ensure all of our work is led by community organizing. Our other Co-Founder Jason Legg is a seasoned impact and class action litigation attorney.
