Riviera Beach Community Garden

Our mission is to improve the economic, physical, mental and social health of our community through community gardening. We strive to broaden knowledge of our food system, organic gardening and to increase consumption of organic, fresh, fruits and vegetables. We seek to increase community wealth and opportunity through empowerment, education and through the employment of youth facing economic, social or other challenges.

The Riviera Beach Heights Community Garden will also serve our community as a gathering place, horticultural resource and a source of pride and inspiration. We strive to offer programs that will foster healthy eating habits and lifestyles. We will introduce our community to a variety of fruits and vegetables and provide programming to show a variety of ways to cook in a way that is healthy and delicious for the whole family.

Our goal is to bring neighborhood beautification, neighborhood solidarity, cultivate the spirit of community and enhance quality of life.

Volunteers are an integral part of our program. There is an ongoing need for volunteers to provide assistance in a variety of ways. We are sure we have something to interest you and match up with your ability and desire to contribute. Volunteering is not only about growing food for our community, but about growing our community. Volunteers learn critical tools such as healthy eating, organic gardening, and how to plant in their own yards. They also get vitamin D and exercise while getting to know their neighbors.
