World Learning - Alumni Engagement Initiative

World Learning is a global not-for-profit organization with over 75 years’ experience in promoting international and intercultural understanding. Its four program units, International Development Programs, the SIT Graduate Institute, SIT Study Abroad, and the Experiment in International Living, foster global citizenship through international experiential education and community-driven development programs. World Learning is committed to fostering a global capacity for peace, justice, and tolerance.

The World Learning Alumni Engagement Initiative program provides alumni of World Learning programs with resources that help them turn their post-program enthusiasm into effective community change. Initially the program will consist of small grants competitions in conjunction with proposal writing and grant management training. The training component offers course modules that help alumni learn how to locate and solicit funding and managing programs once funding has been secured. Participants who successfully complete the training will be given a certificate of completion. The small grant component will provide financial resources to alumni who complete the training program and win a small grant competition.
