Misión
Repair Café NC is a local part of a global movement to raise awareness of the value of repair as a talent that everyone can develop and benefit from. When things break, we have more options than simply “throw away and buy new.”
Acerca de
A Repair Café event is simple: Volunteers with repair experience (we call them "coaches") bring a toolbox of their favorite and most useful tools. Guests bring their broken household items - anything from jewelry to furniture, tabletop appliances to lamps, toys to garden tools. We match a guest with a coach and together they examine, diagnose and attempt a repair.
Since 2017, Repair Café NC has been holding local workshops where neighbors have diverted hundreds of pounds from the landfill, learned new skills, and made new friendships.
