The EYE Retreat aims to squeeze five years of one's life into five days to prepare them for the rigor and expectations of college life. The EYE Retreat begins day one with the transition from senior year of high school to freshmen year of college with activities focused on getting to know your roommate and preparing for the first day of class. Days two, three, and four aim to include many of the activities one would experience during their freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior years of college. These may include transportation, communicating with faculty, money management, vocational rehabilitation, disability services, and assistive technology. A mock class is also included during this time that will serve as the foundation for the coursework. Finally, the fifth day is dedicated to activities to transition from college life to community living. In particular, accessible sports, cooking, and career exploration are noteworthy activities.
