United Neighbors of Lower Roxbury

The United Neighbors of Lower Roxbury (UNLR) is a community organization with the mission of improving the quality of life for all the residents in the Lower Roxbury neighborhood. The purpose of UNLR is to involve residents in the establishment of social, educational and recreational activities, programs, and facilities. UNLR is currently working with A Village at Work (AVAW) to create a brand-new community cultural arts center at 90 Windsor Street in Roxbury, Massachusetts.

A Village at Work (AVAW) is a group of community organizers working in the Lower Roxbury area of Boston, Massachusetts. The mission of this initiative is to create avenues for people to manifest change for themselves, their communities, and the world. The partnership between A Village at Work and the United Neighbors of Lower Roxbury (UNLR) has given community members hope for sustainable change.
