Repair the World: Pittsburgh

Repair the World (Repair), founded in 2009, offers entry points to purposeful Jewish life and fosters a vibrant Jewish community through service learning programs for Jewish young adults and their peers. Our approach weaves together four components: (1) hands-on service to meet pressing local needs such as hunger or homelessness; (2) Jewish learning grounded in text, tradition, and values; (3) education about the issues being addressed; and (4) reflection on how service connects to Jewish values and identity.

Through Jewish service and transformative Jewish learning, we bolster the capacity of nonprofits, deepen connections to Jewish community and identity, and build bridges across lines of difference to address antisemitism.
