At Become a Man Without a Man Inc., we believe that every young man deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of the challenges they face. Founded on the principles of mentorship, empowerment, and community, we are a youth-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to providing guidance, support, and positive role models to young men, particularly those from underserved communities and/or those growing up without consistent male figures in their lives.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to empower young men to become responsible, resilient, and successful members of society by providing them with the tools, resources, and relationships they need to overcome obstacles, achieve their full potential, and become positive contributors to their communities.

Our Values:

Who We Serve:

We primarily serve young men aged 13-17 years old in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area who are:

• Facing social, economic, or educational challenges.
• Growing up in single-parent households or without consistent male role models.
• At risk of disengagement from school or involvement in negative behaviors.
• Seeking guidance, support, and positive connections.

We are committed to serving young men from diverse backgrounds and experiences, recognizing that each individual has unique strengths and needs. We prioritize serving those who are most vulnerable and who have limited access to resources and opportunities.

Our Programs and Services:

We offer a range of programs and services designed to address the holistic needs of young men, including:

• One-on-One Mentoring: We match young men with trained adult mentors who provide individual support, guidance, and encouragement. Mentors meet regularly with their mentees to build relationships, set goals, and work towards achieving them.
• Group Mentoring: We facilitate group mentoring sessions where young men can connect with their peers, share experiences, and learn from one another. These sessions focus on topics such as leadership development, communication skills, conflict resolution, and career exploration.
• Educational Workshops: We offer workshops on topics such as academic success, financial literacy, health and wellness, and career planning. These workshops are designed to equip young men with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in school, work, and life.
• Community Service Projects: We engage young men in community service projects to instill a sense of civic responsibility and give back to their communities.
• College and Career Readiness: We provide support to help young men prepare for college or career. This includes help with college applications, financial aid, career exploration, and job skills training.
• Parent/Guardian Support: We offer resources and support to parents and guardians of the young men we serve, helping them to navigate the challenges of raising adolescents and to support their children's growth and development.
