Washington, D.C. Inner City Outings ("D.C. ICO") is an all-volunteer program. We are currently working with two neighborhoods - one in Anacostia and another in Columbia Heights. We have been leading monthly trips for DC youth for approximately 20 years, including camping in West Virginia, rafting on the Shenandoah, climbing mountains in Maryland, visiting the National Arboretum for a nature photography contest (8 of the kids placed!) and ice skating on the National Mall in the kids' own backyard.
