Family Connection of Easton

Family Connection is the non-profit family center for the Easton Area School District. Our mission is to be a catalyst for change within families, schools, and the community. Through a team approach that includes families, community organizations, and the school district, we improve academic performance, the quality of life and the strength of our community. Our programs/services were provided to over include:

• Family Support and Case Management – to improve family self-sufficiency and school involvement;

• Parents Who Care – a family wellness and parenting education program;

• Backpack Pals –to distribute backpacks filled with nutritious food to 100 EASD children identified as at-risk for food insecurity to take home over long holiday weekends;

• The Parent-Child Home Program – to prepare preschoolers and their families for a successful school start through 100 sessions over 2 years with home visitors, who mentor parents on how to work with their children on developmental activities;

• Cheston Cougars Learning Club – an after-school academic enrichment program to help students meet state standards & develop literacy and math skills;

• Health Initiative – to provide families with access to free or low-cost health insurance as well as school-based preventative and restorative dental health services;

• Kindergarten Connection – a community-wide initiative designed to engage preschools, students, parents, businesses, community service organizations, and the EASD to increase school readiness; and

• Community School Lead Partner - we are the lead partner for Paxinosa Elementary, a new Community School
