Avery County Habitat for Humanity is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, an international non-demoninational Christian housing ministry.
Avery County HFH serves Avery County in the Northwest Mountains of North Carolina, a beautiful scenic summer and winter resort destination.
Our mission is to build houses and hope in partnership with God's people in need of a decent place to live.
We welcome all volunteers regardless of religious affiliation. Most of our building activities are from April until November, but we often have work available in the winter months.
Our Volunteer Center is now available to house out of town workgroups - check our website for additional information.
