Under 1 Roof

The mission of Under 1 Roof (U1R) is to provide supportive housing and support services to homeless and low-income individuals and families in our community. Our vision is a community where everyone has safe, affordable housing and the tools to become self-sufficient.

Under 1 Roof programs offer critical housing and support services to help low-income individuals and families as they work toward self-sufficiency. Our programs include:

Permanent Supportive Housing- Affordable housing and social services to help individuals and families identify and resolve daily challenges. U1R provides housing support while clients work toward self-sufficiency by maintaining employment, increasing their education, attending job training to enhance their skills, budgeting, and other life skills.

Emergency Housing Vouchers –Case managers help clients find appropriate housing while providing intensive case management, including critical support services to facilitate long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

Rapid Rehousing – Intervention designed to help individuals and families exit homelessness and expedite their return to permanent housing. Under 1 Roof helps clients identify and secure proper housing while providing case management support, including referrals to a network of community resources.

Prevention Services - Clients receive emergency rent and utility assistance to keep them in their homes. If eviction is in process, Under 1 Roof helps clients locate new housing and assists with deposits, move-in costs, and time-limited rent and utilities assistance. Applications are available on the agency’s website or by calling the office.

Professional Case Management Services—Each client is assigned a case manager when accepted into the program. The case manager assists with housing needs, prevention services, and basic needs. They promote work stability and encourage higher educational attainment. The case manager works one-on-one with clients, helping them create and implement a plan for success that includes meaningful, attainable goals.

Support Services – Financial Education, Employment Support, Basic Needs, and more. Clients are introduced to a network of community partners and resources for ongoing support.
