The Metro Detroit AFL-CIO is a chartered organization of the National AFL-CIO, and is a coalition of Local Unions in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties in Michigan. Our organization works to stimulate and coordinate communications and mobilization activity among affiliates and allies throughout the Detroit metropolitan area. We focus on supporting the legislative, political, organizing, and solidarity goals of the labor movement locally, statewide, and nationally. We are governed by an elected Executive Board and Delegate Body, headed by a President.
