Sky Islands High School is a public, nonprofit 'green' high school in Tucson, AZ. The project-based educational program integrates environmental education across the curriculum. At Sky Islands, we educate students to take part in an ecological approach to the world by creating an awareness of the dynamic systems that pull all core fields of study into a more understandable whole. The integrated framework fosters active, deep learning by collecting fragmented facts into meaningful patterns that can become big pictures.
