Created in 2002 and endowed in 2008, Alliance is a flexible and powerful tool to develop academic synergies in a innovative and disruptive way. Based on a unique combination of institutional support and bottom-up initiatives, Alliance has allowed its four partners -- Columbia University, Ecole Polytechnique, Paris 1- Sorbonne and Sciences Po, to explore, develop and sustain a number of collaborative projects, thus creating longstanding links between faculty, students, and broader academic communities.
