Stepping Forward LA

Stepping Forward LA offers a unique group mentoring program called co-mentoring. Each month community volunteers, as well as current and former foster youth come together for a day full of fun and interactive activities. And adults and foster youth get together throughout the month to work on a variety of goals and to explore Los Angeles together. 

Foster youth are resilient, talented, and amazing young adults. They are looking for a community where they belong; a chance to build healthy, lasting relationships; and an opportunity to have some fun when they aren't in school or working. 

We are looking for co-mentors who would like to join our community and provide encouragement, support and friendship to former foster youth who are aging out of the system. 

Specifically, we are looking for volunteers who can dedicate 8-10 hours per month to developing lasting relationships with foster youth in our program as well as assist and support them with their transition into adulthood.
