Shoes for the Homeless - Los Angeles House of Ruth

Our mission is to provide shoes to the homeless and to those in need, free of charge, in our local communities. We collect new and lightly-used men’s, women’s, and children’s shoes from various sources throughout the United States.

We are dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness through compassionate, community-driven initiatives. We believe young people have the power to create meaningful change, which is why we created our Volunteer Youth Ambassador Program for students ages 13–18.

Our program provides students with a structured opportunity to give back, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact in their communities while earning 23+ community service hours. Through this experience, students strengthen communication, teamwork, and civic engagement skills that can support future academic and personal goals.
