HERF - HEALTH EDUCATION RECTITUDE FOUNDATION

HERF - Health Education Rectitude Foundation is a community-based organization in Ndejje, Wakiso District, Uganda, dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities through health education, disease prevention, and promotion of moral rectitude and integrity. We believe health is dignity and education is power.

Our mission is to build a healthy, informed, and ethically grounded community where every child, youth, and family has access to life-saving health knowledge and opportunities to thrive.

WHO WE ARE:

HERF (Health Education Rectitude Foundation) is a youth-led CBO based in Ndejje, Makindye Ssabagabo, serving Kampala and Wakiso District. We work at the grassroots to bridge the gap in health literacy and youth empowerment.

WHAT WE DO:

- Community Health Education & Sensitization on HIV/AIDS, malaria, sanitation, and maternal health

- Youth Empowerment, Life Skills & Mentorship promoting rectitude, integrity, and responsible leadership

- School Outreach Programs - Health clubs and education support for vulnerable children

- Women and Girls Empowerment - SRHR, hygiene, and economic resilience

- Community Clean-ups and WASH campaigns

WHOM WE SERVE:

We serve low-income families, out-of-school youth, women, and school children in Ndejje, Kampala slums, and Wakiso rural communities who lack access to quality health information and support.
