Love of Linda Cancer Fund

The Love of Linda Cancer Fund is in memory of Linda Bickel Grassi, a Glenwood Avenue Elementary School teacher in Wildwood, NJ for twenty years. She was raised in Wildwood Crest and graduated from Wildwood High School. Linda was fondly known to everyone as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend.

When diagnosed with ovarian cancer, Linda’s close friends and co-workers organized fundraisers to help defray the enormous costs of her treatment and the ancillary expenses, which included, but not limited to, transportation, meals, and overnight stays.

Linda lost her battle with cancer in May of 1994 at the age of 46. With the overwhelming support of the community, the organizers were encouraged to continue with fundraising projects in Linda’s memory. Now, through the efforts of the volunteer committee, the work and love continue to help others throughout Cape May County who are battling cancer.

In addition to the “Love of Linda” fundraisers, various other organizations and office co-workers have raised money on our behalf. But, our greatest source of revenue comes from memorial contributions, which enables the love of a deceased one to live on for others.
