ABOUT GOLD MIND AFRICA

Gold Mind Africa is a child support organization facilitating health care, formal primary and secondary education to orphans and other vulnerable children by providing scholastic materials, such as Uniforms, Exercise books, Text books, Pens, Pencils, Rulers, Geometry Sets, clothes and school fees sponsorship. We also provide de-wormers and HIV/AIDS referrals to government and NGOs health centres

BACK GROUND

Gold Mind Africa was founded in 2010 registered in 2011 by the Gomba district Local Government with Reg. number GOM/105/CBO/041. Currently the charity is operating in Kyegonza sub-county by supporting 395 orphans and vulnerable children at Kisoga primary school.

To empower children through promoting good education and health practices in an integrated, sustainable programme that is holistic for capacity building in order to improve their quality of life

OBJECTIVES

a) To play a role in childhood development as a catalyst for social change, enhancing communication and strengthening their health and education.

b) To involve the children and indigenous people in identification of their education and health needs and conceptual formulation in order to develop the necessary self-reliance and self confidence in the children’s future.

c) To provide a forum where families meet, share ideas and experiences for better child development purposes in their communities, or else to establish education centres in the region as away of reducing the high level of distress, illiteracy and ignorance among the community concerning children.

d) To contribute on the prevention and reduction of HIV/AIDS, Cancer and other preventable diseases among children through mobilization and sensitization of the community and provide care and support to those infected.

e) To strengthen working linkages and partnerships with organizations, companies and individuals in line with and for the improvement and development of child health and education.
