Malaria No More UK

We exist to make malaria no more. We use brave story-telling to inspire the public to rally behind the fight; encourage the UK government to lead the charge and we fund innovative, impactful programmes to save lives in Africa.

We work tirelessly to save and protect millions of lives from malaria, mainly young children who are most at risk with a life lost every minute.

We launched in 2009 to build on the unprecedented global and local momentum to end deaths from malaria, a preventable disease. We have never been so close to reaching this historic humanitarian goal and the UK’s leadership is critical to its achievement.

We’re a small team working on high profile advocacy, communications and fundraising projects across the UK and Africa. We engage a broad range of stakeholders in our mission to make malaria no more, from governments and businesses to faith groups, celebrities, other charities and the public. We use popular culture and stories on malaria to inspire action and to raise vital funds to save lives in Africa.

Since our launch we have secured the support of all the major political parties in the fight against malaria and helped persuade the coalition government to place malaria at the top of its international development agenda. We have also used funds raised in the UK to support efforts on the ground in Africa. Our partnerships in Ghana, Namibia and Nigeria are already helping to protect over ten million people from malaria.

Many famous faces have joined us in our quest to end the needless suffering and death caused by malaria including David Beckham and Andy Murray, founding members of the Malaria No More UK Leadership Council and committed ongoing supporters.
