Susan G Komen, North Carolina Triangle to the Coast

Since its founding in 1997, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast has strived to provide breast health and breast cancer services to all in the region. Our organization serves 29 counties in North Carolina.

Community Focused: 75% of the net funds raised are invested to serve North Carolina families. In 2016. we gave more than $540,000 to organizations that provide life-saving education, screening, treatment and post treatment services.

National Research: 25% of the funds raised support national cutting-edge research. A Komen Grant has touched every major breast cancer breakthrough in the past 30 years. Since 1982, Komen has awarded more than $920 million in research grants. In 2016, researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina Central University were awarded nearly $3 million in research grants.
