To improve the quality of life in the communities of the California Capital Region by providing flexible, diverse volunteer opportunities for people to work together and help one another.
Hands On Sacramento, a program of the Community Services Planning Council, was created to provide one-time, hands-on volunteer community service projects for individuals, families and corporations who are interested in giving back to their community.
Designed to make volunteering flexible (projects are offered in the evenings and on the weekends) and group-oriented (at least 5 people work together on each project). The projects are created with the goal of making the maximum impact in a minimal amount of time (typically, 1-4 hours).
Hands On Sacramento also creates volunteer projects for Sacramento-area companies that would like to contribute their time and energy to non-profit organizations.
