Give Us Wings

Give Us Wings envisions people in our partner communities in rural Uganda living healthy lives with dignity and hope as they pursue their life goals. Give Us Wings’ mission is to encourage, support and partner with people living in extreme poverty in Uganda as they transform their lives through greater access to quality health care, education and economic opportunities.

Give Us Wings has been working with rural communities in eastern Uganda since 1999. Through our community-led approach, we listen to the people in our region to learn what their challenges are and what they say they need to chart a successful course for the future. We then work to provide support and resources as they pursue their goals.

Give Us Wings programs focus on:

• HEALTH CARE - We offer accessible, high quality health care through the clinic we built in Kayoro in 2011. It now provides services to over 20,000 patients annually and brings health outreach activities to remote areas.
• EDUCATION - Our Family to Family sponsorship program helps families to access health care and various educational opportunities. In addition, one child (usually the youngest girl in the family) is enrolled in a well-regarded boarding school.
• ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - We work with existing agricultural cooperatives as they seek to grow their businesses, offering access to training, resources, equipment, and support to help them thrive.
