We have launched a major ongoing assessment of the prospects for justice and equal opportunity under law for racial and ethnic minorities in the United States at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The Civil Rights Project/Proyecto Derechos Civiles at UCLA is a very complex undertaking involving both cooperation across institutional and disciplinary lines within UCLA, and joint ventures with institutions and thinkers around the country.
