Historical Preservation, Inc. (HPI) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation founded in 1969. HPI has been charged with building an endowment fund to carry out long range goals and to preserve and enhance the quality of life in the neighborhood and area. The Historic Homes Tour is a major fundraiser for these efforts in the city.

    Acerca de

The Heritage Hills Historic Homes Tour is in it's 58th year as an event serving Oklahoma City and beyond. Over 2000 attendees come to tour select homes in the historic neighborhood and raise money for Historic Preservation Inc and Wilson Arts Inc. Historic preservation of neighborhoods plays a crucial role in maintaining the cultural and architectural heritage of a city. By safeguarding historic districts and buildings, cities can retain their unique character and charm, which often attracts tourists and bolsters local economies. Preservation efforts also serve as a testament to a community's resilience and continuity, offering residents a physical connection to their past. Furthermore, maintaining these areas fosters a sense of pride and identity among community members, and can stimulate community engagement and revitalization. In this way, historic preservation is not merely about maintaining structures; it's about preserving the stories and histories that define and enrich urban life.
