Amara

Amara is committed to positive long-term outcomes for children and families. We drive systemic change, promote healing, and advance racial equity by offering programs and services to families engaged with foster care and to adoptees and families, post-adoption.

Operating in Seattle and Tacoma, and serving most of Western Washington, we license foster and foster-adoptive families, and support our families through every step of their fostering journey; provide post-adoption support to adoptees and Amara adoptive families; provide a soft landing for kids entering foster care with our Emergency Sanctuary Program; and collaborate with others in the public and private sectors to build a better path for kids in foster care.
