The CDSJ 5 English Section is a growing grade 7-12 English medium program (70% English medium) with a mixed staff of local and international teachers. We are a division of a locally run Chinese Catholic Diocesan high school (grades 7-12) serving the local community of primarily Chinese residents. Our school aims to provide curriculum and instruction which prepare students to be healthy and successful life-long learners and make a positive contribution in their community. We follow the local curriculum but integrate some aspects of international education and hope to continue developing a school based curriculum for our program. Participating in our English Section gives students an advantage in university study, intercultural communication, and future emplyoment. Teaching abroad at CDSJ 5 is an excellent opportunity for individuals who seek a fully immersive experience of local culture in a very unique and rapidly developing city and the chance to make a profound impact in local education.
