Colectivo Sustento

We are a collective of community theatre and garden workers who work inside and outside prison. Colectivo Sustento's work includes:

- direction of Fénix & Ilusiones theatre experience in the Colina 1 prison, Santiago: production of group-devised theatre shows, about current social issues.

- organic community garden for self-sustainability and healthy living

- theatre workshop in juvenile detention centre

- social justice in our theatre work and our collective governance

- on-the-job training programs in community theatre

- coordination of seminars, exchanges and conferences about community theatre, particularly in prisons

- volunteer programs

- national and international collaborations with community theatre workers and companies in Europe, Latin America and Australia

- teaching in applied theatre at Universidad Academia Humanismo Cristiano Theatre School, Santiago
