Dougherty County CASA
Misión
Dougherty County CASA, Inc. supports children who have experienced abuse or neglect by providing specially trained community volunteers to advocate for their best interests—promoting safety, stability, and permanent family connections in and out of the courtroom.
Acerca de
Established in 2001, Dougherty CASA has been serving Southwest Georgia for over 20 years, advocating for the safety, well-being, and voices of children in foster care. Our mission is to provide trained volunteer advocates—CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers—who stand by each child, ensuring their needs are represented in court and in the community.
We value compassion, dedication, and the courage to speak up for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do—they form lasting relationships with children, help navigate complex systems, and provide consistency in the lives of kids facing uncertainty.
Serving children throughout Dougherty County, we partner closely with families, social workers, educators, and the court system. By joining our team, volunteers become part of a supportive, mission-driven community committed to changing lives—one child at a time.
Whether you can spare a few hours a week or dedicate yourself to a longer-term commitment, your voice can make a lasting difference in a child’s life.
