AAMAN is committed to giving at-risk children of low-income families and special needs children the resources to realize the possibility of a successful and productive life. We believe the quality of the investment we make in them and their families will help to positively shape their future. These children represent the promise of accomplishing great things and deserve every opportunity to fulfill that promise without restrictions. AAMAN inspires children to learn, adults to teach and communities to move forward together.

Our Clara Fields Multicultural Literacy Program's goal is to teach preschoolers who are at great risk of academic failure to read prolifically by the time they enter kindergarten. Our program teaches literacy on the broad base of phonological awareness and therefore, covers all the components of reading, laying a strong foundation on which to build literacy skills. 45% of the Nation's children are at great risk of educational failure because of their lack of literacy skills. We are servicing the Children of La Crosse County that make up part of that 45%. Our program services pre-k to 2nd grade children. All children are welcomed! Executive Director, Valjean Adams.
