American London Symphony Orchestra Foundation

From its earliest days the London Symphony Orchestra has had special links with the United States. The LSO is the only British orchestra to have established an annual residency in New York City and over the past ten years has presented many extraordinary musical events. In arguably the most competitive music environment in the world, the annual LSO New York Residency consistently draws rave reviews, performs to sold-out crowds, and is always one of the most highly anticipated events of the musical season.

This close connection between the LSO and America furthers the strong business, political and cultural alliance that exists between Britain and the United States. In recent years the relationship linking these world cultural capitals has been formalized by London and New York being designated as Sister Cities.
