Tennessee Cow Rescue exists to provide a safe, lifelong home for cows in need while serving as a
community resource that promotes compassionate, sustainable farming practices and plant-based
living. Through rescue, education, and collaboration, we aim to create a more thoughtful and humane
relationship between people, animals, and the land.
Founded in 2021 and located in McMinnville, Tennessee, Tennessee Cow Rescue is a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating cows in need of care. What began as a small
sanctuary has grown into a community-centered organization offering educational visits, volunteer
opportunities, and outreach initiatives. In addition to providing lifelong care for rescued animals,
Tennessee Cow Rescue works to bridge the gap between traditional farming and compassionate
practices. By partnering with local farmers, offering resources, and creating opportunities for learning,
the rescue serves as both a sanctuary and a hub for change. As the organization evolves, its work
continues to expand beyond rescue into advocacy, education, and community engagement through
initiatives like Right Farming, helping to shape a more sustainable and humane future.
