WHO WE ARE

• The Hogar Luceros del Amanecer Civil Foundation is a non-profit NGO, legally constituted based on Law 147, general law of non-profit Legal entities, which was approved by decree No. 8259 issued by the National Assembly of the Republic of Nicaragua on June 1, 2017, a decree that was published in the OFFICIAL DAILY GAZETTE No. 102 on June 1, 2017, registered in the Ministry of the Interior under the perpetual number (6639).

MISION

• The Luceros del Amanecer is a center that promotes comprehensive child care services with a focus on community development through education and other special care services, benefiting boys and girls in conditions of high social risk.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

We have been working for the well-being of children since 2004, with more than 13 years of operations, we serve 545 boys and girls who live in extremely deplorable conditions, where abandonment, abuse, drug use, family disintegration, lack of basic services, malnutrition, school dropouts prevail, families with an average income of 3 dollars per day for the maintenance of an average of seven people per family, among other causes that generate an absolutely inappropriate environment for the growth and development of children. boys, girls and adolescents.

The children arrive at the project at 9:00 in the morning and return home at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon. We develop a comprehensive assistance program that involves education, health, nutrition, technical training, family strengthening, sports, culture, recreation, training in values, volunteering, sponsorship, social services to the community and other complementary activities.

• We are promoting multiple volunteer opportunities; more than 800 volunteers have participated in this project to collaborate in each of the projects and programs that we develop with the children we serve.
