Misión
The HBCU Foundation is a Federally-recognized 501(c)(3) organization, whose aim is to raise much-needed scholarship dollars in support of deserving students attending our nation's Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Acerca de
The HBCU Foundation plays a critical role in enabling deserving students to attend college each year and gain access to internship and career opportunities by:
- Facilitating access to internships and career opportunities targeted specifically to students and alumni of our 102 member institutions
- Facilitating student access to mentorship
- Providing financial support to our 102 member institutions
- Providing college readiness and early-access programs to high school students and families
- Advocating at national events on behalf of HBCUs
HBCU institutions educate nearly 300,000 students each year at tuitions averaging 30 percent less than those charged by non-HBCU institutions. The HBCU Foundation's programs and scholarships increase the likelihood that students will enter, as well as graduate from college.
