Ascencia

We envision a community where people in need can find safe affordable housing and access resources to become self-sufficient. Ascencia is the only comprehensive homeless service organization in the greater Glendale region, providing housing and support services for 1,200 homeless men, women and children every year. We provide street outreach, case management, a 45-bed emergency shelter for 200 residents every year, and over 80 units of permanent supportive housing. Ascencia primarily serves homeless families, with an additional focus on chronically homeless adults, U.S. veterans, and frequent utilizers of emergency medical services at local hospitals. Without our intervention, many homeless people in need of assistance will be left to live on the streets or in their cars, vulnerable to illness, theft, violence, and even death.
